A faculty member found personal belongings and dog food in a bathroom in McCormack Hall. The faculty member believes that someone is sleeping in the bathroom. When officers arrived on the scene, nobody was present, and the dog food and personal effects were gone.

A strange man in the Science Center approached a member of the UMass Boston community, called this person a “faggot bitch, and talked about slapping people.

During a routine motor vehicle stop on University Drive North, officers discovered an outstanding warrant on the Dorchester resident who had been driving. He was taken into custody.

A woman left her dog in her vehicle with the windows up.

A man’s car got stuck between the pavement and the gravel in the Short Term Lot. He called the Department of Public Safety asking for an officer to help him push his car. The dispatcher asked him if he had AAA, because she believed that they would be of more help in moving his car. The man became irate and began yelling. He screamed that he needed an officer right away, hung up, called back, and threatened to call “Dorchester Police.” The man was eventually taken into custody.

Illegal vendors attempted to set up shop in Lot B and Lot C in order to sell goods to Commencement crowds.

Someone asked the Department of Public Safety to get the members of on-campus unions to stop passing out fliers about the parking fee increase. Officers could not locate the union members in question.

A woman who had recently had heart surgery became ill due to heat at Commencement. She was seen by emergency medical personnel and by Health Services at UMass Boston, but was not transported to a hospital.

A man fell down near the Commencement area and was transported by ambulance to Tufts Medical Center.

Another man suffering from heat exhaustion went to lie down in the Health Services offices.

The entrance to the South Lot was left open, so six vehicles attempted to exit the lot the wrong way, then turn onto Bianculli Boulevard in the wrong direction.
