Andrew LeBrun impressed in his win last weekend against Western Connecticut State, but this past weekend, he astonished.
Last Friday, LeBrun sparkled in the Beacons’ 6-0 win over Little East Conference opponent and number one team in division 3, University of Southern Maine, going the distance, striking out seven and scattering six hits.
The lefty has now pitched 17.1 consecutive scoreless innings and becomes the first pitcher since Nick Conway on March 31, 2006 against Eastern Connecticut State to record a shutout.
LeBrun walked six in the game and got out of a no-out, bases loaded jam in the first inning before he silenced Southern Maine’s bats for good.
