In a fight solely for bragging rights, UMass Boston emerged victorious thanks to Pat Joseph.
A junior forward hailing from Queens, New York, Joseph scored a career-high 24 points in the Beacons’ 77-70 home victory over University of Southern Maine in a Little East Conference men’s basketball game last week.
In his 36 minutes, Joseph was 9-11 from field and 6-6 from the line. He also grabbed 10 rebounds and collected three steals while only committing two personal fouls
The win catapulted UMass Boston (4-18 overall, 2-9 LEC) past Southern Maine (4-18, 1-10) and out of last place in the Little East.
