If you can be transferred without an ambulance, no fees will be charged. If not, an ambulance fee will be charged.
– Off campus: During the hours of operation, go to UMB Health Services if you are able to make it. If not, call 911 from an UMass Boston phone, or from a cell phone dial 617-287-7799 to get help.
– On vacation: In US, go to nearest Emergency Room. Plan ahead before you travel. Outside US, contact AETNA. Plan ahead before you travel. AETNA issues a travel card for students.
– At night: Go to the nearest Emergency Room or Urgent Care Facility. You may be referred to the Counseling Center for therapy. you can schedule an appointment with your therapist either by calling the Counseling Center office at 617-287-5690 or by stopping by during our hours of operation. If needed, you may also be advised to have medications within the therapy. If the depression is critical, you may also be referred to an another institution.UMB Health Services
