On a beautiful day just after the start of the semester, Alex Zafris was wearing the perfect summer outfit. The political science and public policy major was sporting gray, tailored shorts with a light blue, button-down shirt. A leather belt and black oxford shoes completed the look. We caught up with him outside the Campus Center to ask some questions.

Your Style Inspiration?

I really like reading GQ magazine, the New York Times Style Magazine and I watch The Rachel Zoe Project religiously. Brad is my inspiration for short shorts.

What are you wearing?

The shirt is Bloomingdale’s, the shoes are vintage and I bought them on Etsy. My shorts are just H&M dress pants that I cut and rolled up.

Where do you shop?

Marc Jacobs, Boomerang’s in Jamaica Plain, H&M, but my favorite designer is Marc Jacobs.

Favorite thing in your closet?

Definitely this vintage Christian Dior dress shirt that I bought recently.
