Tuesday, April 19th
At about noontime a student come into the station to report that someone had changed the password on their UMB Email Account. The police notified IT.
A student called into campus police around 1:00 PM to report that there was a man asking her about filming her on campus and she did not believe that he was a legitimate camera man. He claimed to be from the chancellor’s office. However, he had no IDs affiliating himself with any on-campus business. The Department of Public Safety was called to verify the man’s identity. Officers followed up and the gentlemen was in fact part of a film crew working in some capacity on campus.
A professor called in at 1:22 PM to report that a young male student was feeling weak and wanted him to go to health services. After refusing ambulance assistance, he was escorted the health services for evaluation.
Wednesday, April 20th
As about 6:37 PM, a student in the McCormack building suffered a seizure while in a class. Although the party did come out of the seizure both conscious and alert, he was vomiting. Boston EMS was notified and the individual was transported to Brigham’s and Woman’s Hospital.
Thursday, April 21st
At around 10:45 AM, transportation reported a car whose owner refused to move in the Campus Center Loop. As the vehicle was prohibiting the movement of the buses, the campus police came quickly and asked the individual to move. Upon their request, the individual left.
At almost 3 PM, transportation reported there were cars parked in the fire lane of the vehicle access to the administration building. Campus police responded and had the vehicles moved, allowing the buses to continue on their route.
At about 5:15 PM there was a motor-vehicle accident at the entrance of UMB. There was only one operator reporting injuries. State police were on the scene in addition to campus security.
Friday, April 22nd
At 3:50 AM, UMB’s greenhouse alarm sounded for “low heat” and an automated call was placed to campus security. The operator of the area was notified, as was utilities, in order to rectify the situation.
