Friday, February 4th
A transport bus on University Drive East accidentally collided with a telephone pole at about 12:45 PM. Although no one was injured, there is an investigation going on, undertaken by the employer of the driver, into the legitimacy of the accident. Barring any inappropriate activity on the part of the driver that could have caused the accident, the driver will be reinstated.
Monday, February 7th
A call was placed to the campus police by a concerned parent around 11 PM. The mother was concerned that her daughter had not come home from school yet (as she was expected home earlier). The campus police did a thorough search of the campus but found no one. Fortunately, the girl arrived home not too long after the original call – the campus police were notified.
Tuesday, February 8th
During the blood drive that was going on in the Campus Center, a woman experienced fatigue and briefly passed out at about 8 AM. The campus police were immediately called, in addition to an ambulance. However, the woman refused transport to the hospital.
When exiting the South Lot at 3:43 PM the same day, one of the gate arms lowered and struck the hood of a car, doing minor damage.
Wednesday, February 9th
During a lab in the science building, a science student experienced fatigue and passed out. Both the campus police and an ambulance was called. The student was brought to the hospital and underwent a medical examination.
In Wheatley, a student was experiencing “flu-like symptoms.” Both the campus police and an ambulance were called. The student was brought to the hospital.
Someone tried to enter one of the parking lots by paying with a forged 20 dollar bill. Upon discovery of the forgery, the campus police were called, however, an offense of forgery is by necessity reported to the FBI. An investigation backed by the FBI is currently underway. It is unlikely the student, faculty member or teacher was allowed to park.
Thursday, February 10th
A suspicious male was reported in the Healey Library at 12:30 PM. Evidently, the man was wearing a blue jacket and holding a baseball bat while riding up and down the elevators, saying salacious comments to women who entered the elevator. Although the campus police responded promptly, the strange fellow fled the scene.
