On October 25th, the Student Nurse’s Association (SNA) hosted its first event of the academic year. Organized by SNA co-president Kellie Olsen, the group conducted a CPR training session, which drew a crowd of nearly 40 UMB students. Officials from Carney Hospital in Dorchester conducted the training during a four-hour session on campus. CPR certification is a requirement for all nursing students upon beginning their clinical rotation. As a group that aims to host events that provide a service for attending students, the SNA is offering this opportunity to gather nursing as well as other students on campus for an afternoon of learning and socializing. The SNA is in the process of planning another session in the spring semester, so be sure to be on the lookout for the next opportunity.
