9/19/2016
2:48 p.m. – A party called the UMass Boston Department of Public Safety to report that they were stuck in an elevator in McCormack Hall. The party reported that they had gotten into the elevator and that the elevator went up and down without the doors opening. The Facilities Department was notified. DPS called the party back and did not get an answer. The party seemed to have been able to get out of the stuck elevator. Facilities reported that they had let the party out on the fifth floor.
4:27 p.m. – DPS was called to the Lot D Access Lot after a party reported that a Hispanic male wearing a striped shirt was causing a disturbance. Officers were able to speak to one of the parties who told officers that it was just a verbal dispute. The second party had left before DPS had arrived.
7:32 p.m. – A male party called to report that a male in a silver vehicle had pulled up to him in Bayside about an hour before. The male driving pulled up to the reporting party, pulled out a knife, and said, “What are you doing in my neighborhood?” to the calling party. The caller described the male as being a white male of medium height and skinny and was wearing white pants. DPS got approved to enter Harbor Point to search for the suspect. Officers checked Harbor Point, Bayside Parking Lot, and the surrounding party, but could not find a vehicle that fit the description.

6:51 a.m. – DPS got called by the manager of Dining Services to report that Dining Services had gotten several counterfeit $100 bills the day before. Dining Services stated that they had discovered after they were counting money before it was deposited. The manager noted that the bills had come from various locations on campus.
1:08 p.m. – DPS arrested a party in connection to the previously mentioned counterfeit money. The party was transported to the MBTA Transit Police headquarters for lockup.
1:27 p.m. – DPS pulled over two parties on a moped. One party, Christopher Arden Netter, was detained and charged with possession and intent to distribute a Class D drug (marijuana). Boston Police Dept. was on scene and helped to run the Vehicle Identification Number of the moped. Chevy Auto Body was called to tow away the moped. Netter was put in custody and transported to the MBTA Transit Police headquarters to be booked. Netter had in possession 111.7 grams of marijuana in his backpack which was seized. The backpack was logged and put into evidence.
2:32 p.m. – DPS took a report after a Paul Revere Transportation shuttle bus hit a Toyota Camry in the Clark Center Rotary. No injuries.

10:45 a.m. – A male party came to the DPS office to report that his MacBook disappeared after he left it in McCormack Hall. He returned to find it was no longer there.
1:12 p.m. – DPS officers took a report after a Paul Revere Transportation shuttle bus hit a motorcycle in the Clark Center Road. There were no injuries and the motorcycle owner called AAA on his own. Traffic was restored and the motorcycle owner waited for a tow truck.
4:08 p.m. – A male party came to DPS office to report that his sweatshirt and ID were stolen from the Upper Level lounge in the Campus Center.
6:03 p.m. – A male party called DPS to report that he had seen an Asian male, possibly Chinese, in the east side of the construction site on University Drive West. Officers checked the Bond Brothers construction site next to the pump house and did not find anyone. Officers secured the gate which they found had been left open. Officers also locked the Fox Point gate to the site.
9/22/2016
8:57 a.m. – Officers and National Grid responded to the Plaza Level in the Quinn Administration Building and to Bianculli Blvd in and outbound after receiving multiple calls about a strong odor of gas. EMS was notified of the situation. UMass Boston Engineering was called and they told DPS that they were aware of the situation and working to handle it. The gas was found to be coming from the old Lot C.
9:26 a.m. – A party came to the DPS office to report that some of the females on the soccer team had been received harassing messages.

1:14 p.m. – DPS officers came across two mopeds, one coming from the east and the other from the west. Officers noted that one female and one male were not wearing helmets and that they were going 40 mph. Both parties exited the property onto Morrissey Blvd.
2:11 p.m. – DPS received a call about a black backpack sitting on the plaza in between the Campus Center and Wheatley Hall. DPS officers checked and found no bag upon arrival.

10:55 a.m. – A female party came to the DPS officer to report that her her credit card had been stolen from the second floor of Healey Library. The female wanted to file a larceny report.
4:51 p.m. – A party called in to report that officers found a vehicle without license plates parked in Lot D parking lot.
