Hello,
We wonder whether you might share with your staff and colleagues at the paper the fact the Hartford Courant’s National Writers’ Workshop will be held April 16 & 17, 2005.
This is one of the most respected such gatherings in the country. Over the past ten years, this event has attracted thousands and thousands of writers to hear hundreds and hundreds of speakers, to network and to find new and exciting ways to advance their writing and their careers. It is one of the most diverse programs anywhere.
Among this year’s 35 speakers are Garrison Keillor, Sebastian Junger, the Wonkette, Elizabeth Berg, Bob Edwards, Matt Klam, Meena Alexander, Daniel Okrent, Toure, Denise-Marie Santriago, Tom French and dozens more.
Six Pulitzer Prize winners, many best-selling novelists, poets, investigative reporters, editors, educators will be among the speakers. It is a great gathering. And it is very very reasonable. The weekend’s events cost only $85 ($55 for fulltime students).
