Andreen Gilpin notched her twelfth double-double of the season, scoring 15 points to go along with 12 rebounds as the Beacons of UMB improved their record to 11-8 with a 59-34 victory over Rhode Island College in Little East Conference play. The Beacons upped their conference record to 4-5.

The Beacons played excellent defense, limiting Rhode Island College to just 12 baskets in the game and a shooting percentage of 21%. UMB had solid contributions from several players, including senior Seiko Kudo who made three out of four three point attempts. Junior Felicia Haynes shot 62.5 % from the floor to go along with three assists.
