Guests will be treated to the enchanting melodies of therare sape-a wooden lute-like instrument-played by master Malaysianmusicians for the first time in North America. There will also be colorfulcontemporary and traditional Malaysian dance performed by the MalaysianCultural Dance Group of New York, and exhibits of beautiful Malaysiancrafts, including fine fabric painting, weaving and bead work.
Admission to this evening of artistic celebration is free. Guests can alsoenter to win a free trip to Kuala Lumpur, the dynamic capital city ofMalaysia and the nearby island of Sarawak, Borneo, with its large tropicalrainforests, fascinating wildlife, spectacular beaches and rich cultures.
