A major roof replacement and waterproofing project is underway through December at the Healey Library. A crane is operating on the roadway between the Healey Library and McCormack Hall during this project.
Last year superstorm Sandy caused major damage to the Healey roofs and drainage system. The storm and nor’easter that followed caused substantial water damage on the 10th and 11th floors of the library.
If you are working or studying inside Healey, you may hear construction noise and feel some vibrations. Occupants of the Urban Harbors Institute and the 11th floor conference rooms may experience some temporary relocations and inconveniences as crews complete their work.
