Bar of the week: Whiskey’s Smokehouse

Whiskeys
Whiskey’s

Who said there “ain’t no love in the heart of the city?” Bobby Bland must have never seen the inside of Whiskey’s Smokehouse during a big Boston sporting event.
There is nothing but love being passed around — and maybe a drink and some high fives, as well. Whiskey’s, located on Boylston Street, is right in the center of Boston’s busiest neighborhood in between Newbury Street and the Prudential Center. With its affordable food, you couldn’t possibly have a bad time  unless, of course, a Boston sports team loses.
The food deals they offer are unbeatable: 25-cent wings and $2 pizzas (with the purchase of a drink) served Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m to 11 p.m and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m to 4 p.m. It’s perfect for catching your favorite sports team playing as they air games on 19 televisions spread out across the restaurant.
The crowd becomes older (mid twenties and up) in the late hours, as the bar becomes 21 and older after 10 p.m. If you enjoy big crowds during a sporting event, you’re in for a delight. Luckily, the crowds don’t slow down the service.
One thing in Whiskey’s that always sticks out is the personality of the employees. You get the vibe that they enjoy working there from the security to the service team. Whiskey’s Smokehouse is the place to be to watch our New England teams seek a few championships and meet some of the most unique people on the way.
