Anonymous goes after the KKK and the police following the grand jury decision

KKK+Anonymous

Following the grand jury’s decision not to indict Darren Wilson for murdering unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown riots and protests broke out across the country. With the city of Ferguson expressing their distain for the grand jury’s decision, the leader of the Ku Klux Klan hate group’s Missouri operations, Frank Ancona, threatened to use lethal force on the protesters.

The Missouri KKK operations distributed fliers to raise awareness of the consequences the protesters would face. Frank Ancona “equated some demonstrators to terrorists” on MSNBC.

So on Nov. 16, the hacker group Anonymous took over the KKK’s Twitter account and began the hashtag #OpKKK a movement to express no tolerance for the Ku Klux Klan’s violence and hatred towards others.

Anonymous stated that the KKK’s account, @KuKluxKlanUSA, gave them, “large amounts of information on white supremacists” and on Nov. 17 Anonymous released this statement explaining why they began #OpKKK:  http://anonhq.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/B2sSKr1IcAA95Id-2.jpg

The official KKK website has been taken down and several members of the white supremacist terrorist group have been revealed, as have their their social media accounts. Some of the exposed KKK members include police officers and other law enforcement agents.

An interview by the Huffington Post of an individual going by the alias ‘Anoniter’ stated, “Anonymous’ members are cross-referencing all instances of membership to ascertain true identity … We use basic information that they provide on their site. We then cross it with other online applications to pinpoint exactly who they are… We ensure that no innocent person would be ousted'”.

Reacting to the take over of their Twitter account and the distributed denial-of-service  on their official website, the Grand Wizard of the KKK threatened Anonymous, “We will hunt you down and tear those masks from your face. You’ll be strung up next to the chimps. On display for the whole world to see. The Klan is to be feared, not threatened.”

Frank Ancona had this to say as well, “You pathetic n***** lovers are going down, we’re not hiding. We’re not ashamed of who we are and what we represent. The invisible empire cannot and will not be overthrown [sic].” Also threatening that anyone wearing a Guy Fawkes Mask should be shot.

Anonymous had this to say,

“Anything you upload will be taken down. Anything you use to promote the KKK will be shut down. We are not attacking you because of what you believe in, as we fight for freedom of speech. We are attacking you because of your threats to use lethal attacks against us at the Ferguson protests.”

“We are the law now.”

But the hacker-activist group isn’t just going after the KKK hate group, they are also going after police forces.

Timothy Loehmann, a police officer of the city of Cleveland, shot and killed 12-year-old Tamir Rice on Nov. 22, in a park seconds after arriving on the scene.

The 911 call was made for the disturbance of a kid who had gun but stated that it was probably a fake. Tamir had an airsoft gun.

Within seconds of arrival, Loehmann, exited the “still moving patrol car” (as stated by the Washington Post) and fired two lethal shot to Tamir Rice, who died the next day.

Anonymous hackers following this news shut down the City of Cleveland’s website. They also release this video: http://youtu.be/QTm0TZoWyec asking why the officer din’t use a taser instead?

In the video Anonymous had this to say:

“Police of the United States you will learn in due time once Anonymous has shut down your sites that we will not stand for your ignorant untrained rookie cops.”
