Let’s face it: the second fall hits, you cannot go anywhere without seeing at least three people in the same room as you decked out in plaid patterns and flannel. Clayton Cooper, a fourth-year Communications major, was spotted in Campus Center adding a bit of a twist to the festive fabric craze by layering a deep gray Burberry sweater over a plaid shirt from Etro.
The patterned shirt added a little pop of color to his relaxed yet classy ensemble of dark J. Crew jeans and Sperry’s. Without being utterly cliche, Cooper stood out as an example of trends done tastefully.
“My inspiration comes from everywhere,” Cooper said. “The seasons, the city, color palettes I see walking around town, whatever. I like to keep challenging myself to keep it interesting.”
Although Cooper is a fan of experimentation and makes a point of not restricting himself to any one brand or style, he finds himself drawn to three main traits when shopping: quality, timelessness, and originality.
With a penchant for uniqueness already evident, Cooper does not disappoint with his selections for which celebrity wardrobes or styles he would love to steal.
“JFK, James Bond, and Tom Brady’s suit game,” Cooper said.
