The Beacon Spotlight shines this week on lacrosse player Peter Kovach, who has been named Little East Conference Rookie of the Week for the week of March 25 to April 1.

Kovach tallied 3.0 points per game with nine points on six goals and three assists in three games, while adding two ground balls. The sophomore began his Beacons career with seven points, including four goals and three assists to go with a ground ball in a 17-0 victory at Emerson College on March 26. The attackman netted a pair of goals in UMass Boston’s 8-7 win at Curry College on March 29 as well.

The Cohasset High School product currently ranks second for the Beacons with 6 goals, while standing third in both points (9) and assists (3). The rookie has connected on 50 percent of his shots, scoring on half of his 12 attempts in three contests.
