In local news, Jacob Aguiar brings us the latest on Massachusetts’ first public law school program. Can UMass create a top-tier program at an affordable price? It is tough finding a job only for the month of January. Who wants to hire a temp, especially when retail is slowing down and people are spending less? Caleb Nelson tells us how other students have made money- not your typical work-study kind of job!

Arts, the Mass Media staff brings you their favorite book, movie, and white people… White People? Wow, what a name for an album by the band Handsome Boy Modeling School. Also in arts, our new addition to this semester’s team of staff writers, Jillian Jackson reviews Nathaniel Hawthorne’s Unaccustomed Earth.

In sport Sebastian Lena and Andrew Otovic look back at 2009. The list includes a wide spectrum of sports from NASCAR to best college basketball game. Number one on the list is Tiger Woods (I think we know why!).

In Opinions, Tim Jones gives us an update on the fight to keep the Sailing Program from being outsourced. DMO (Division of Marin Operation) says that the program is running in a deficit.
