Soccer
Men’s: After a year to remember,, the team is ranked 15 in the United Soccer Coaches poll. The team will look to continue to build on a banner year for the program, and hopefully make it past the “Sweet 16” this year. The Beacons open their season Sept. 1 against Roanoke College.
Women’s: After an abysmal campaign last season for the Beacons, the players and coaches will hope to rebound. Goaltender Alyssa Fugile will look to build on her season, when she ranked 10 in the country with 196 saves. Be sure to check out the team on Sept. 1 when they play Johnson and Wales University.
Tennis
Men’s: A team can’t have a better season than the Beacons Tennis team did last season. After winning the LEC Regular Season and Tournament Title, the only way they can hope to improve is by winning the Division III NCAA Championship, which they will certainly look to do this upcoming season.
Women’s: After finishing 8-11, which was good for the second most wins in program history, the Lady Beacons are going to look to improve on that and begin to make an impact on the landscape of the LEC. Check the team out when they open their season on Sept. 2 against Lyndon State College.
Cross Country
Both Men’s and Women’s cross country were underwhelming at all their meets last season, but there is always reason to be excited. Check out both teams first meet on Sept. 2 at Fitchburg State University.
Volleyball
Despite a coaching change for the team, the Beacons Volleyball team continued to show why it is one of the school’s most consistent teams. They finished 29-5 while going 7-0 against in conference opponents. They eventually fell to Tufts 3-1 in the NCAA Regional Final, but it should still be viewed as a good year. Be sure to check out the team as they open their season on Sept. 1 against Susquehanna University.
