Pat Joseph is a senior on the Men’s Basketball Team. Even though the team has struggled as a whole the last couple seasons, Joseph has not. He was third on the team in scoring last year at 13.7 points per game. He also led the team with 7.4 rebounds per game while also playing almost 29 minutes per game. In other terms, Joseph is a BEAST. That being said, the MassMedia had a chance to catch up with Joseph and this is what he does on game day.
PJ:I normally try not to forget anything I need for the game; like my mouth guard, knee brace etc… I try not to think about what I’m going to do in the game, or how I’m going to do it because that’s what practice is for. You never know what is going to happened in a game, ” you got to leave room for adjustment”. Most importantly before a game I get serious, and quiet. I always stay calm and relaxed, with a clear mind. I listen to a little hip-hop, slow music, like some R n’ B or a little jazz. I try not to eat to heavy the morning or afternoon of a game. I try and eat light and something healthy. But I always have a snack before a game whether it’s a snickers, some candy or a fruit. I always have a snack on me, that’s probably why my teammates sometimes call me the snack man. Another thing for that I always have a little for both team to have a safe game and I try to share a laugh with my teammates before leaving the locker room.
