So, this week what I am talking about is not just for those tea lovers out there but coffee lovers as well. I recently made a fun little area in my dorm room that I am calling the At Home Murray Café, but for this article I’ll refer to it as just the At Home Mini Café. So, I am going to confess that I drink coffee and tea so I added both to my café, but you can choose to just have one or the other or, if you are a wild one, both. The first thing I started with was my coffee maker. For this, I chose to use a Keurig K-Mini. This is a single serve coffee maker that is very easy to fit almost anywhere along with being relatively inexpensive. I found it for $90 on Targets website, $100 on Amazon, and ranging from $70-100 on eBay.
The second thing I did was find a French press, because even though I am a tea snob I am also a coffee snob. This is just a way to brew coffee where the coffee grinds are put into the main part of the press and then have boiling water poured on top of them. Once you have that done you put the lid back on and slowly press on top of the press. The one I have is a random one I found on Amazon for $20. I looked for it on my account but sadly could not find it, but I did look at the price ranges for the French press and they range from $10-60! To go along with it, I also got a water tea kettle for $25 on Amazon as well.
Next, I got myself some disposable coffee cups. I am not a fan of mettle reusable coffee cups because no matter what I do, the smell of coffee always sticks to them and I then cannot use them for tea! I got a pack of 70 cute and colorful coffee cups for $17. The ones I got were totally worth it because it also came with stirring straws and a paper coozie so you can hold it without burning yourself. I finally got to get to the fun part – Organizing my coffee and tea!
I already had a cute little box that I was not using and grabbed that to put all my drinking materials in. I first put all of my bags of coffee towards the back because they were the tallest. I also had a few tins of tea as well, so I threw those with the bags of coffee in the back. Then I grabbed my random boxes of tea and put them in next because I never drink them just because I cannot see them! Then came my random collection of K-cups. Yeah, I could not tell you where I have gotten half of these from just because I do not remember buying them. Once I was done, I was able to see everything I owned and it looked all cute and organized.
