Vibrant Thermos Review

This week I am not reviewing a tea but something that can be used for drinking tea. This object is Vibrant’s All-in-One Travel Mug. The first thing I am going to say is that this thing is not that cheap. I bought it for $27 on Amazon, where it comes in three different colors: black, red, and dark teal, which is the one I got. It also comes with a built-in strainer, which can be removed for cleaning, so that you can put your tea bag or loose tea leaves in there without a worry. It is made of hard plastic and very thick stainless steel to keep it insulated. Overall, the product feels like it was made with really good quality materials. It does not surprise me that this product has an Amazon’s Choice sticker on it.

On Amazon, the product claims to keep things hot for 12 hours and cold for 32 hours and I have to say that it does a really good job. I cannot say if it keeps things cold for 32 hours straight, but I have left water in it overnight and it has stayed cold so I would not worry about your drink getting warmer throughout the day. Now, it does keep my tea warm for over 12 hours and that is amazing. I can go through my whole day, and it will still be warm at the end of it. This can also be used for coffee or any other kind of drink you would like to take with you. I would not recommend putting soda into it though because the pressure builds up and it can make the cap hard to take off.

Another really nice thing about this thermos is that it is leak proof! I can throw it into my bag, where it can get banged around, dropped, and have things thrown onto it and it will not leak. It has even fallen off my four-foot-tall bed and has been perfectly fine, unlike the one that I bought from Teavana, which dropped from about two feet and smashed the cap into a million pieces! This one is proving itself to be not only of a better price but of a much better quality as well.

It is comparable to the ones that David’s Tea sell. They sell their infusers for about $34 a piece. They might cost more, but I honestly do not think that they are as nice. If they are stored incorrectly, the strainer starts to smell moldy and all of the rubber on the bottle can move out of place. They are also ‘hand-wash only’ which makes it difficult to clean them the way they should be cleaned. David’s Tea is a fantastic brand, but Vibrant does a much better job when it comes to making a tea thermos. Each person might feel a little differently about how to store their tea when they are out and about, but if you want something that is nice, durable, a good price for what it is, and you are okay with it being off-brand, then this is the thermos for you.
