Men’s Hockey: The University of Massachusetts Boston Men’s hockey team has won three of their last four games. Their overall record is now 17–5–1 while their conference record is an even better 13–2–1. The UMass Boston Beacons’ only tie came in their previous game against conference opponent Hobart College. Only two games remain on the schedule before the postseason is set to kick off, and you should expect to see the Beacons make a serious run during it.
Women’s Hockey: The UMass Boston Women’s hockey team has dropped three of their last five games, which will now not allow them to finish above .500. The Beacons’ overall record is 9–13–2, and their conference record is 5–8–2. They have one final game remaining on their schedule before the Little East Conference tournament begins. Although UMass Boston’s record is not necessarily what they would want it to be, they definitely will have the opportunity to make some noise in the postseason.
Men’s Basketball: The UMass Boston Men’s basketball team lost their previous game against Plymouth State University, but defeated the University of Southern Maine 97–94 in a thrilling overtime battle two games ago. The Beacons are now 11–11 overall, with a 6–8 record in the Little East Conference. Both of their final two games on the schedule are against conference opponents, so they will have a chance to finish with a .500 conference record. Hopefully, the Beacons’ high-powered offense will help carry them to a deep postseason run.
Women’s Basketball: After dropping back-to-back games, the UMass Boston Women’s basketball team won two games in a row and are looking to finish the regular season on a high note. Overall, they are now 17–6 while their conference record is a modest 10–4. They can continue to capitalize on that seeing how their final two games are against conference opponents. Either way, the Beacons have been a strong team all year long and you can count on them to be very competitive in the Little East Tournament this postseason.
