As my flight landed in Boston, my study abroad trip in Germany concluded. After staying for almost a month in Germany, I was finally back home. The same old Boston cold winter weather greeted me immediately as I got out of the airport. If you ask me, I honestly would have extended my stay in Germany longer if I could, however life had another plan for me. I have to accept the reality that my study Kassel has concluded, as the new chapter of my life commences.
Although my study abroad program may be over, I don’t look at it as the end of my adventure. I left Germany with a positive impression and full of wonderful memories and experiences to treasure. I also promised myself to go back someday and continue my adventure. I may go back again in another study abroad opportunity, or maybe in a professional capacity, as I continue to strive and explore without limits. My studies in Kassel had a huge impact on me personally and academically. Although my time in Kassel was short, I have learned and experienced so much more than I could have ever imagined. From the class trips visiting significant cultural exhibits and historical towns, to group excursions in beautiful villages and to leisure trips throughout Bavaria; they all made a positive impact on me. I have now broadened my horizon and expanded my views as I extend my interests in new paths that I’ve never before considered.
My time and studies in Kassel have renewed my dedication and commitment to my professional and personal goals to an even higher standard. Aiming at higher objectives, I must strive better to achieve my higher and bigger designs, starting this spring semester here in Umass Boston. I hope that sharing my study abroad experience with you all this past month has had as a positive an impact on you as it did on me. Now that I have concluded my study abroad in Kassel, I will join all of you this spring semester in JMass Boston, as we all continue to pursue on achieving our dreams and ambitions. Good luck to us all, and see you all around the campus.
