We have all seen the huge craze that bubble tea has brought and tea drinkers everywhere are beyond excited about it. With its oversized straws and and tasty little pearls it is a treat that anyone can enjoy! The only downsides with this amazing drink is that you have to pay five dollars for just one cup of tea. Not only that, but you have to leave the comfort of your home and go outside when it’s cold and rainy, and dare I say snowy soon enough! Well, I have the perfect solution for you that you will love! I am going to teach you how to make bubble tea from the comfort of your very own home.
The first thing you need to do is go onto Amazon and look up “tapioca pearls” and you will see all of the amazing options. They range from six to 10 dollars usually and they should be at your doorstep within a few days. You also need to buy a pack of bubble tea straws, which come with some packs of tapioca pearls but not all, and those range from four to six dollars. Another thing you can buy, if you want but you do not have to, is bubble tea powder which ranges from 10 to 20 dollars. I personally do not think you have to buy that if you enjoy black tea with the pearls. Now to the fun part!
To make bubble tea is quite simple and honestly a lot of fun. The first thing you need to do is open up your box from Amazon and pull out your tapioca pearls and read the directions. They might vary depending on the brand of pearls but usually you just boil them and then put them in the fridge to chill. Once your pearls are chilled, grab a cup and put as many as you want in your drink. If you got the bubble tea powder follow the directions on the packaging to make your tea. If you did not get the powder and want to make your very own tea just follow these simple steps. Take two tea bags, or double the amount of tea you would usually use, of whatever kind of tea you would like. Brew it normally and pour the hot tea into another cup that is not the one with the pearls. When you come to this step you can add as much cream and sugar as you would like to your tea and then set it aside for the moment. Take your ice tray out of your freezer and fill your tea to the brim with ice to cool it down. This is why we needed double tea, as the ice melted it would have watered down the drink. Pour your tea into the cup with your pearls, throw your straw in and enjoy your masterpiece!
