Just because Halloween has passed, doesn’t mean November can’t continue the spooky season! Here are some creepy podcasts to indulge in, if you’re one of the many that is just fascinated by these horrifyingly strange crime cases. These podcasts are available on spotify, and are all based on real life events or shows. Spotify is free with ads, and premium including Hulu is only $4.99 a month, so it might be worth looking into if this is up your alley. All crime podcasts tend to be the same, but they at least need to be enjoyable to listen to. These execute the stories well, and paint a pretty good picture in your head while listening.

“Crime Junkie” — These two co-hosts are best friends, who spend their time discussing a new true crime case every week, discussing the details that could be wrongly portrayed in the media. They cover cases that might not get attention typically, and ones that are infamously known. The cases they cover take place all over the world. They cover homicides, conspiracies, and missing persons or unsolved cases. Their voices are really soothing, so it’s something you can fall asleep listening to. This is my personal favorite podcast to listen to.
-
“Crime Garage” —These co-hosts discuss real crimes that have happened, and their take on it. These typically are released as two parts, each part being an hour. They go into depth about specific details in cases that they have come across that might jump out at them. These guys drink beer and talk to one another.
-
“Mile high podcast” — The introduction to this podcast talks about current news, something that I personally find to be a bit dragged out. However, the hosts keep a good energy going with one another when they get into the details of the gory crimes that have been committed.
-
“Crime Scene” — This podcast takes a different approach to things. . . they review tv shows and movies that are well know, recapping unforgettable cases. This podcast just came out, with their debut episode on October 26! So far, it looks like it should be promising. Plus, it’s always nice to try something new that might cover relevant cases.
-
“My Favorite Murder” — Two friends discuss their favorite true crime cases, and then explore new cases that are suggested by listeners. They separate their episodes into two categories. Every other one is a minisode, meaning it is around 30 minutes, while the others are full episodes just under two hours. So regardless of the time you have to waste, they have the right fit for you!
These podcasts are great for someone who has an interest in crime. If you’re looking to expand your knowledge on random cases that might entertain you for those few minutes your mind wanders before falling asleep, then you should give these a try.
