Men’s Soccer: The UMass Boston Men’s Soccer team finished their regular season on a tremendous run, and hopefully will carry that momentum further into the LEC tournament. They won both of their final two games against conference opponents thanks in large part to their defense. They beat Rhode Island College 2–0 in regulation, and then Keene State College 2–1 in overtime. The Beacons finished the season with a record of 9–9–2, good for third in the conference. In the quarterfinals of the LEC tournament, UMass Boston took down the University of Southern Maine with a final score of 4–1. They will take on Keene State College once again in the semifinals.
Women’s Soccer: The UMass Boston Women’s Soccer team finished their regular season with a record 13–6–1, placing them third in the LEC standings. They defeated Keene State College 2–1 in their final game of the year. In the quarterfinals of the LEC tournament, the three-seeded Beacons outplayed Castleton University and won with a final score of 3–1. UMass Boston will square off against Eastern Connecticut State University in the semifinals.
Volleyball: The UMass Boston Volleyball team finished their year strong, winning their final five matchups before the start of the postseason. They ended the season by shutting out both UMass Dartmouth and Brandeis University, which were both impressive wins. They found themselves with a 17–8 record on the year, including a 7–1 conference record. The Beacons will take on Keene State College in the first round of the LEC Tournament.
Men’s Cross Country: The UMass Boston Men’s Cross Country team had their last meet at the Little East Conference Championship in Providence, Rhode Island. They finished sixth out of nine teams, and are now preparing for their final meet of the year. It will come on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship in Brunswick, Maine.
Women’s Cross Country: The UMass Boston Women’s Cross Country team has one more meet left in the year as well. They finished eighth out of nine teams at the Little East Conference Championship on Oct. 27. The Beacons are poised to finish the season on a high note at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship this upcoming weekend.
