Looking for a place to see live music every night? The Tap, in Faneuil hall, has a band every night. On weekends there is a five dollar cover to get in, but during the week it is free to attend and enjoy live music, while eating some delicious affordable pub food.
The most popular band that plays at The Tap is called Stewie and Ryan. They cover all different kinds of Rock and Roll music ranging from the 80’s up until today. Bands usually go on around 8:30 to 9pm. Nikki Bova, a waitress at The Tap, says that while you’re listening to the band that you should definitely try the Buffalo wings or the Tap Monster. Bova says, “The Tap monster is a big hit! It’s a burger with pulled pork on top, absolutely amazing!”
After getting your grub on, hit the dance floor and rock out to sing-a-long rock covers by Stewie and Ryan. The Tap is always bumping and a popular destination for many young college kids. Before and after Bruins or Celtics games, even on any normal weeknight, there is always a crowd of people ready to party at The Tap.
On top of having a band and delicious food, the beers are not outrageously expensive. Especially considering the popular location that Faneuil Hall is. The dress code is casual, so no need to put on heels or wear a suit – another bonus to this already awesome establishment. I find that the majority of my nights out, my friends and I always end up at The Tap and we are never disappointed.
The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the combination of great food and music is unbeatable. In Bova’s own words, “The Tap is a great place to eat, hang out and even dance! The food is awesome, the prices are reasonable, and it’s guaranteed a good time!”
