The first annual State of the Student Address took place in the University Dining Hall on September 8th, as part of Welcome Week. An energetic call to the masses, the speech reminded students that being part of a public university is a thing to be proud of. A reminder that “your opportunities should be based on the creativity of your mind and not the padding of your wallet.”
Travis Henderson, President of the Undergraduate Student Senate, went on to say, “It is in you that I see my greatest dreams, my loftiest goals, and most basic ideals reinforced and exceeded every day.”
