The Rams Risk It All

Trade by numbers:
Rams Acquire: 2016 first Overall pick, 2016 fourth round pick (113), and 2016 sixth round pick (177).
Titans Acquire: 2016 first round pick (15), 2016 second round pick (43), 2016 second round pick (45), 2016 third round pick (76), 2017 first round pick, and 2017 third round pick.
The Rams took risking it all to a new level with a bold move to acquire the first overall pick in the upcoming draft. Sending all of their early round picks this year to get the first pick is an extremely gutsy move, and one that clearly shows confidence. The Rams have the option of either Carson Wentz or Jared Goff, both talented QBs but with a few questions.
Ultimately, the Rams gave up a lot for players that just aren’t a sure thing. There is no Andrew Luck or Cam Newton in this draft, where you can be almost certain that the player will be something. The Rams are playing a dangerous game of getting into a situation that they just got out of with Sam Bradford by investing a lot in the wrong guy; only this time they gave up a lot more.
If you’re the Titans, you make this trade with no regrets. Tennessee has its QB going forward, and now has some high draft picks to make the team better in other areas. If I were the Titans, I would be doing backflips right now.
The future looks bright for the Titans, but quite cloudy for the Rams.
