Governor Romney’s budget is “common sense for the Commonwealth.” Voters shouted on Election Day, rejecting tax increases while demanding streamlined government without waste and mismanagement. Romney listened while closing the enormous deficit.
A financial crisis strangles Massachusetts yet we will persevere despite necessary budget reductions. The things we desire are unattainable when those that are necessary are extremely difficult to accomplish. Romney spreads the cuts as fairly, evenly, and as painlessly as possible while defending essential services.
Beacon Hill abuse, patronage, and inefficiency must end. Romney’s courageous governmental reform benefits the citizens of Massachusetts.
Sincerely,
