The UMass Boston women’s volleyball captured their first win of the season over UMass Dartmouth, beating the Corsairs 3-1, in a Little East Conference round robin tournament held at the Clark Athletic Center.

The Beacons, however, did not fair too well in their other match ups, losing 3-1 to Rhode Island College and 3-0 to Eastern Connecticut State. Rhode Island College had the most successful weekend, winning all three of their games, while Eastern Connecticut State went two for three.

UMB’s record stands at 1-4, The Beacons next play on Thursday, September 25 at Newbury College and the team won’t play at home again until Tuesday, October 7 when it faces LEC foe Southern Maine.
