The African Hut Club, which was started in 1999, celebrated another year with its open house in the new campus center. The club served hungry students different foods and drinks, while they played a video of the club’s past “African Nights” at UMass. This year the African Hut Club will be hosting its annual African Night at UMB on May 8 in the new ballroom in the Campus Center. The club is looking for volunteers to help organize the event as well as perform. The night will be filled with dances, poetry and fashion showcases. The club meets every Friday at 12:30 in W-4-174.
