RPA InfoThe GSA, as well as several Recognized Professional Associations participated in UMass Boston’s recent Open House. Groups hosted tables, distributed information, and met prospective students attending the Open House. This was a great opportunity for our groups to ‘show themselves off’ as well as recruit new members.
The Office of Student Life has been working hard to set up website opportunities for student groups. RPAs will be contacted soon with the information necessary to set up a club website. Sites will be linked to the Student Life page on the UMass website.
Graduate Students and the Athletics OfficeThe GSA would like to thank Athletics Director, Patrick T. Burns for attending our recent meeting. Mr. Burns spoke about encouraging graduate students to become more active in the events planned by the Department of Athletics, as well as how the GSA can collaborate with the Athletics Department and Clark Athletic Center when planning events.
The Department of Athletics would like to remind students that the Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Hockey seasons will be starting soon! Check out the Athletics link on the UMass website for opportunities to support our teams!
