Welcome Back
On behalf of the Graduate Student Assembly (GSA), I would like to welcome new and returning graduate students. The GSA is composed of graduate students who represent a variety of programs at this university. We are dedicated to enhancing the academic and professional development of our graduate student community.
GSA Voter Registration Drive
It is necessary to be registered in order to vote in the Massachusetts Presidential Primary and the November 2004 election. The GSA has organized a Voter Registration Drive on January 28 and 29 between 12pm and 6pm in the McCormack second floor lobby. We strongly encourage all campus community members to stop by and fill out the short registration form. The GSA will forward the completed forms to the appropriate city/town clerk office for processing. For more information, e-mail us at [email protected].
Deadline for Graduation Declaration Form
Graduate students who intend to graduate in June 2004 must submit a Graduation Declaration Form to the Office of the Registrar by February 13, 2004. For more information check the Registrar’s website at www.registrar.umb.edu.
Museum of Fine Arts-Free for UMB Students
I strongly encourage all graduate students to visit Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts. Last semester, the GSA members appropriated funds so that the Undergraduate Student Senate can purchase a university wide membership to the MFA. This membership entitles all UMB students free admission to museum exhibits.
