The Boston Fire Department contained and extinguished a fire Tuesday morning on the third floor of 15 South Point Drive, a 7-story building in the Harbor Point apartment complex just north of campus.

Nobody was injured in the blaze, which broke out at approximately 7 a.m. and was contained to one room, but two residents are displaced.

The BFD Fire Investigation Unit is investigating the cause.

“Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire this morning on the 3rd floor of the 7 story high rise building at 15 South Point Drive Dorchester,” the fire department wrote in a statement on social media. Two residents are displaced, according to the post.

The cause remains under investigation, according to Alkins.

Most fire department units were released at approximately 8:15 a.m., after the fire was out. The fire department dispatched at least 9 fire trucks, including four engines, three ladder trucks, one tower truck and one rescue truck, Alkins said. The department’s mobile command center was also on scene.
