Professor Jones reshaped the way I think, question, and understand the world. In his classroom, I was pushed to confront history with honesty, to examine the future with courage, and to develop the language to name some of the deepest problems facing our country. His influence has changed the trajectory of my life. I will be a better community member, colleague, and leader because of the standards he set and the truths we peeled back in this classroom. His impact on me has and will continue to be lasting and profound. We need Professor Jones’ voice more now than ever.
