Cookies:
1 cup sugar
1 cup pumpkin (Libby’s 100 percent pure pumpkin in a can works)
1/2 cup soft butter
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking power
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Halloween sprinkles optional
1. Mix cream, butter, and sugar, then add pumpkin
2. Mix dry ingredients
3. Add dry ingredients to pumpkin mix
3. Mix well
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes on a lightly greased pan
5. Let cool and enjoy
Frosting:
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 to 2 cups confectionery sugar
1. Boil brown sugar, butter, and milk for 2 minutes, gradually adding vanilla extract
2. Let cool for a few minutes
3. Add confectionery sugar starting with 1 1/2 cups. Add more if needed
4. Work fast to frost
5. Eat 10 cookies while watching reruns of “30 Rock” and drinking Shipyard Pumpkin Ale
