17-20 (7-7 LEC)
On April 24, the Beacons lost 13-12 at MIT. On April 25, the team split a doubleheader at Plymouth State, winning the first game 7-4, but losing 6-4 in the second game. On April 28, the team lost at Endicott College 8-7. On April 29, they were handed a 5-4, 12 inning loss by Wheaton College. On April 30, the Beacons snapped their losing streak by downing Saint Joseph’s College, 6-5. On May 2, the Beacons swept Rhode Island College in a doubleheader on Senior Day, winning 11-1 and 5-4. They will face UMass Dartmouth in the first round of the LEC Tournament.
Softball
The Beacons swept Southern Maine on the road, 6-5 in eight innings and 4-3 on April 22. UMass Boston was then swept 3-2 and 7-1 at Salem State on April 24. The next day, on April 25, the team lost both games at Western Connecticut State, 12-8 and 11-7. On April 27, the Beacons concluded their season at home against Keene State, losing both games, 2-0 and 6-4
Lacrosse
8-10 (2-5 LEC)
On April 22, the Beacons picked up a huge Conference win on the road against rival Southern Maine, 12-11 in overtime. On April 24, the Beacons beat Regis College on the road 14-12. Two days later on April 26 at UMass Dartmouth, the team lost 11-5 on Senior Day. On April 29, the Beacons dropped their Little East Conference Tournament opener at UMass Dartmouth in a close 6-5 contest.
Tennis
9-9 (5-1 LEC)
The Beacons lost 5-4 at Johnson and Wales on April 25. The team then beat Salem State at home, 8-1, and beat Rhode Island College 7-2 in Rhode Island on April 28. On May 2, the Beacons shut out Western Connecticut State 5-0 in the semi-finals of the Little East Conference Tournament before losing at Southern Maine, 5-1 in the Conference Championship.
Track and Field
At the Little East Conference/New England Alliance Championship meet at UMass Dartmouth, the Beacons Men’s and Women’s Track and Field teams recorded a program-record eight first-place finishes. The Men, who placed sixth overall, were led by Carl Joseph, who won the high jump for the third straight year, and Tylor Hart who placed fifth. On the Women’s side, Hulerie McGuffie won the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, the long jump, and teamed up with Renee O’Brien, Anisha Trappier, and Krista Ledin to win the 4×100 meter relay. McGuffie, O’Brien, and Trappier would combine with Ariana Leao to win the 4×400 meter relay. O’Brien would go on to finish the day with three golds as she won the high jump earlier in the day. Taylor Smith would also add a gold in the discus throw as the women’s team finished fourth overall, the highest the team has ever finished in program history.
On May 3, the team traveled to Springfield College to compete at the NCAA New England Division III Regional Championships. The Men were once again lead by Carl Joseph as he jumped to a first-place finish while Tylor Hart would go on to place fifth. The Men would end up finishing 19th overall. The Women were lead by Hulerie McGuffie, as she placed third in the 100 meter dash and second in the 200. Taylor Jazmine Smith would place third in the discus and Renee O’Brien placed second in the high jump. The team 4×100 meter relay team of McGuffie, O’Brien, Anisha Trappier and Krista Ledin would finish second for the Women, who finished eighth overall.
