You know who I blame for a mad man taking the Oval Office this past January? Two words: white women. I’m not talking about the left-leaning, liberal-minded, feminist-spirited progressive Democratic or Independent white women. On the contrary, I’m talking about the Trump hat wearing, educated and non-educated, conservative or alt-right leaning white women in every region of America.
How can any woman, especially white ones, vote for Trump after his comments in the infamous “locker room” audiotape which came to light last year? White supremacy has persisted so long because, at the end of the day, white people knew they were better off united against people of color as supposed to apart. White female voters standing on the blue line must hold their counterparts on the red line accountable. There should be endless Twitter wars, long-winded rants on Facebook, and fight videos on Worldstar between the two sides.
White female Trump haters should feel obligated to call out their white “sisters” for helping to elect a buffoon into the American presidency. This man has the nuclear codes at his fingertips. In less than 100 days under Trump as president, America has already had cringe-worthy public communication missteps with the foreign heads of state of Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Israel, Japan, Mexico, and North Korea.
I won’t go after the rural white American man for voting for Trump, because that was to be expected. However, the wives and sisters and daughters of these men were supposed to vote much differently, and it didn’t happen. Trump haters, this is where you must come in and say, “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!”
Some people say this article is enough to incite an internal war amongst white women. And you know what? I sincerely doubt anything I say here will move anyone to take action in a non-violent way. However, if action were taken, then that puts a smile on my face. I’m so sick of hearing white progressives complain about the shockingly high percentage of white women who voted for Trump. Get angry, then get loud (without getting arrested) and let these “traitors” know exactly how bad they damned all of us with their vote.
Conservative white men won’t do it, as many of them are, at the very least, content with this result. Though liberal white men should definitely try too, most will likely fail, thanks to the explosive surge of the new feminist movement. And, in addition to that, the toxic racial climate of last year has, undoubtedly, carried over into 2017, and thus will not allow for any man of color to tell a white woman she screwed up.
This is why this task falls to white women who voted for Clinton. Education and news journalism is under attack in this country, so we can’t subdue these “Trump-women” with knowledge or facts. So long as Fox News continues to be their news source and the Trump administration’s mission to defund public education—a system intentionally setup help poor people enter the workforce—is realized, there will be no way to reach these Trump-women.
There is no other recourse available to us, the majority, aside from calling these Trump-women out on their political madness every single day for four years…starting now.
