SAEC Wants You
The Student Arts and Events Council (SAEC), presented with a more limited budget this year than in recent years, has undertaken a survey process. To assure that the money they do have is spent in ways the students approve of, the SAEC has made forms available to the student population. The survey asks about what types of food, music, and cultural events people enjoy. The surveys can be picked up at various student centers (most are on the fourth floor of the Wheatley building) and at the office of Student Life (also W-4).
Golden Key Clothing Drive
The Golden Key International Honor Society began their annual clothing drive on October 26 and will continue until November 26. The month-long clothing drive is, according to Golden Key, an effort to “help people stay warm during the winter months.” The group had a decorating party for their collection boxes at the recent UMass Open House. The clothes collected will then be donated to the Pine Street Inn. For more information on this effort contact Esther at [email protected].
Wellness Center Out For Blood
The University of Massachusetts Blood Drive will take place Wednesday, November 13 from 9am to 3pm. There are appointments available throughout the day. There are some restrictions on who can and cannot give blood. For a full list of those restrictions and any other questions, or to schedule an appointment to donate blood, please call Linda Jorgensen at 617-287-5680 for more information.
