Q: What do you think of Gringlehook?
A: I don’t know, I’ve never met the guy. Based on the comics, though, I’d say he’s one of many sad, sensitive souls trapped beneath a rough exterior. Yet another lonely heart searching for a friend in the dark bottomless pit that we call life. I’d know a thing or two about that. In Gringlehook three, where he and the student finally found a friend in each other, that spoke volumes to me. The fact that it parodied “It’s a Wonderful Life” made me reassess the wonderfulness of my own life. What would the world be like if I had never been born? Well, we wouldn’t have electric toasters and Billy Shears would have never gotten to write “Let It Be.” I guess we’re all just Gringlehook, riddling our way through the endless darkness, grasping blindly for a light.
