1) This is the deepest Celtics teamsince the Big 3 came together. If you look at this team on paper, and again, on paper, this team is reallydeep. The team has players whocan score in Paul Pierce, Ray Allen,Kevin Garnett, and even for stretchesShaquille and Jermaine O’Neal. Theyalso have players who can create inDelonte West and Rajon Rondo. Theyhave players who can rebound in theO’Neals and Kendrick Perkins andGlen Davis. They also have a playerwho brings energy off of the bench inNate Robinson and Luke Harangody. This is a complete team that is morelocked and loaded than last years NBAFinals team. Again, all sounds good onpaper.2) Kevin Garnett will be the NBA DefensivePlayer of the YearCall the prediction crazy, but it isnot impossible. KG is over a full yearremoved from knee surgery and wantsto prove to the NBA as well as the Celticsthat he is not a very expensive andwasteful bench player. KG came intocamp looking stronger and leaner, which means only good things for theCeltics and scary things for the rest ofthe league. The energy and trash talkingwas always there. However, therewere times last year where KG wassettling for jump shots and instead ofdunking the ball home, would casuallylay it in. Look for a more ferociousGarnett, closer to the 2007-2008 versionrather than the 2008-2009 version.A healthy Garnett with someexplosiveness makes the Celtics thatmuch more dangerous to the MiamiHeat.3) Heat would lose to Celtics in a playoffseries because of lack of experience, not skillEveryone on the planet is crowningthe Miami Heat as the 2011 NBAchampions. That is logical seeing asthe Heat now have LeBron James andChris Bosh to go along with DwayneWade. However, there is one issue withthat. Bosh has never made it out of thefirst round. James has made it as far asthe NBA Finals, but lost to the Spurs, and has not came close ever since.Wade is the only one with not only afinals appearance, but a championship. And even at that, Wade has never beenback to even the conference finals. TheHeat do have players like Eddie House,Udonis Haslem, and Juwan Howardthat do have plenty of playoff experience, however, they also have 7 playerswith three years of experience or less. The Celtics starting five has been to theNBA Finals the same number of timesas James and Wade combined. That isnot including Shaq’s five NBA Finalsappearances either. In May and June, skill does not always win, experiencedoes too.
