Q: Do you think humans are innately good or evil?

A: Good? Evil? What do these things even mean? I’ll tell you right now, the universe doesn’t abide by a moral code. Morality applies only to sentient matter, which is a small majority of all the crap in the cosmos. In terms of you humans, your perception of good and evil is based solely on what threatens your survival. The only reason you guys are here is because a big-ass space rock was kind enough to hit the Earth, killing off those overgrown lizards. Bad for them, good for you, right? How are you gonna feel when that space rock comes for you? When it’s your turn to step aside? Bad for you, good for the worms. So, to answer your question, humans are neither inherently good nor evil; they do what they think will best improve their odds of survival. Me? I don’t give a toot about survival—for myself or my fellow Beacons. When you free yourself from those shackles, you can simply enjoy your time while you have it.
