Winston Pierre, a junior currently double majoring in political science and psychology, describes his style as a mix of old school and contemporary fashion. He is seen here sporting a gray and black ensemble which appears to be just that. “I would wear anything that allows me to project my individualistic style, my best self, and more importantly, sets me apart,” he said.
Pierre admits to doing most of his shopping online. His blazer is from H&M and his shirt and shoes are from Express. For style inspiration, Pierre looks to stars like David Beckham and Johnny Depp. He said, “Whenever they dress, you feel like their outfits are perfectly congruent with who they are.” A person’s personal style must accurately match their character, according to Pierre, who describes his look as a reflection of his charismatic and professional personality.
For Pierre, quality is much more important than quantity when it comes to fashion. “Instead of buying a lot of average outfits, just buy a few great ones,” he said. A final piece of advice for his fellow students: set high standards for yourself. “If someone thinks they are the best, they will dress like the best – our belief shapes our behavior.”
