The Student Activities and Events Council held a diversity slam in ballrooms B and C on Tuesday, Nov. 13th. There was music and Spoken Word poetry to be heard at the event, which had a laid back, fun atmosphere. While the diversity slam started out with only twenty-something people in attendance, that number grew steadily within a half-hour to just over fifty people. It was an open mic event, so students volunteered to come up on stage to play their guitars, sing and recite poetry. The music was both composed by the performers themselves and by professional composers.
