Sophomore hockey player Maria Nasta is the Star You See this week. Nasta, in two games against St. Anslem’s and Holy Cross last week, tallied four goals and two assists to help lead the Lady Beacons to a tie and a win.

In her fist season with the Lady Beacons, Nasta was fifth in the ECAC Women’s East in goals (20), first in assists (25), and was named to the All-ECAC East First Team.

Through five games this season, Nasta leads the Lady Beacons in goals (4), assists (7) and points. “She sees the ice very well, you know she’s got that goal scoring ability too, [but] right now she’s been dishing the puck really well,” coach Maura Crowell said. Crowell said she is a good passer, has a good shot, is very creative, and sees the ice well.
