Letter from the Editor

In my first letter this semester, I challenged all of you to take it upon yourselves to make the world a better place. Im happy to say that throughout the semester I have been pleasantly surprised to see a few individuals doing some really great work around campus to make the Universe a more engaging and exciting place. That being said, I hope the rest of you are inspired to follow suit and realize your own power as an individual. I know you may think that it is a big task for one person to change the world, but in a few short weeks, whoever comes out on top in the electoral college will do just that. Im not saying you have to president to make a difference, and it’s the little things that really make a difference.

Take Jill Generazzo, a teacher and UMB alum who was just honored for being one of the nation’s best educators. In her profile, Amy Julian show that while she didn’t mentor a Nobel winner, Gennerazzo makes a difference in the classroom every day by just trying to be the best she can be.

Then, in sports, Ryan Thomas introduces you to some of the faces of coaches here on the Point who have changed the culture of athletics and turned things around for their respective programs.

In Opinion, Dillion Zhou attempts to change the world on his own by restarting the Cold War. I hear Siberia’s nice this time of year…
