Junior volleyball player Megan MacAuley is The Star you See this week.

In the Lady Beacons’ 3-0 win over Lesley University last week, MacAuley set a UMB record by recording her 869th career dig. She broke Gina Torres’ previous mark from 2001.

“I’m very proud of her,” head coach Terry Condon said. “She has worked very hard for three years.”

MacAuley has been a great all-around teammate this year, putting in hard work on and off the court while also making an effort to constantly improve team chemistry. Her vocal leadership has been one of the things that has set her apart and she has “blossomed as a leader” said Condon.

“It couldn’t have happened to a better kid,” Condon added. “She’s a great athlete, student and teammate.”
