Men’s soccer player and senior captain Henry Marin is The Star You See this week.

After scoring four goals in 2007 from the forward position, Marin has since made the transition to defense for the Beacons and, through nine games this season, has three assists (a team-high) and two goals.

Marin leads by example and is one of the team’s vocal leaders on the field. “He tries to get the other kids on the team fired up and ready to play,” said head coach Myles Berry.

“The forward to defense transition has worked out well. The fact that he’s an offensive defenseman gives the threat of coming out of the back.”

Marin’s 592 minutes this season are second only to Alex Cavallero’s 618 and his 10 shots on goal are fourth on the team.
